Dr. Stephen Hussey ([@drstephenhussey](https://www.instagram.com/drstephenhussey/)) is a Chiropractor, Functional Medicine practitioner, heart attack survivor, and type 1 diabetic. He’s also the author of a new book - [Understanding the Heart: Surprising Insights into the Evolutionary Origins of Heart Disease](https://www.amazon.com/Understanding-Heart-Surprising-Evolutionary-Disease-ebook/dp/B09WVT95Q9/)―and Why It Matters as well as [The Health Evolution](https://www.amazon.com/Health-Evolution-Why-Understanding-Vibrant). [Dr. Hussey was previously on the Carnivore Cast](https://www.scottmys.com/podcast/hussey) to talk about preventing heart attacks with a meat-heavy carnivore diet - definitely check that out for some 101 on heart disease, statins, cholesterol, fat for fuel for the heart, etc.
